Ramotar to participate in state radio, TV organised debate, UG forum; APNU, AFC want own terms

The state-owned National Communications Network (NCN) says its organizing at least a two-hour live presidential debate but the opposition coalition A Partnership for National Unity’s participation is hinged on its own terms.

A senior NCN official told Demerara Waves Online News ( www.demwaves.com ) that invitations were dispatched to the incumbent Peoples Progressive Party Civic, Alliance For Change (AFC), APNU and The United Force for the debate scheduled for November 15.

The official said journalists from both the privately-owned and state-owned media would be invited to ask questions after presentations by the candidates. The duration would be 90 minutes to two hours.    more
