Presidential candidates among thousands voting

Presidential candidates for Guyana’s four political parties on Monday were among thousands who turned out countrywide to cast ballots in general and regional elections.

They are Donald Ramotar for the incumbent Peoples Progressive Party (PPP), David Granger for A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), Khemraj Ramjattan for the Alliance For Change (AFC) and Peter Persaud for The United Force (TUF).

Ramotar voted at the Plaisance Secondary School, Granger at Enterprise Secondary in Durban Backlands and Ramjattan at Rama Krishna School in Kitty.   Read more
