Guyanese Lawyer tops Council of Legal Education at Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad

Yet another Guyanese Lawyer has topped the Council of Legal Education at the Hugh Wooding law school in Trinidad. Thandi Benn said, she was very excited to hear that she had won the top prize and said it took a lot of hard work.

Justice Chang implored Benn not to fall prey to conceit but to always be humble in the way she goes about the practice of her profession. He advised her to understand Law not only in its principles, but its conceptual framework and in a holistic way. Benn thanked all those who helped her to make a lifelong dream a reality. Another Guyanese, Roderick Edinboro, also received top honors in 2011.

Also admitted before Justice Chang was Jaci Archibald, Corporate Secretary at the Guyana Forestry Commission. His petition was presented by Director of Public Prosecutions, Shalimar Ali Hack.

Archibald paid tribute to the countless persons who helped him to this achievement and promised to uphold the noble traditions that underpin the practice of the profession.
