By David Sha 1 week ago: What about this film is racist? I honestly didn’t hear one disparaging remark about any other “race”. Racism is a form of prejudice from one group to another based entirely on race. It’s one group saying that they are better than the other based entirely on skin color. It’s one group subjugating the other based on race. This film was merely stating facts based on scientific evidence and archaeological findings. Many of the archaeologists were white. Were they racists against their own?

Why “when blacks ruled the world”? Shouldn’t it be when the 1st humans ruled the world.
Why make it about “highly advanced black peoples” and “black people” and not the first humans? We’re talking evolution here, aren’t we? Skin pigmintation and other physical changes came about as a result of migration out of Africa and having to adjust to differing climates, diets, and lifestyles over time. Nevertheless, we’re all humans, i.e, people and not a specific “black people”.
Gigi, this is important for the African Diaspora since the achievements of Africans were “written out” of Western history books. When I studied the ancient civilization of Egypt, there was no mention that these great pharaohs were black men and women. I assumed that they were a mixed race of European, Middle Eastern, and African ancestry.
Imagine the importance of such knowledge for enslaved and oppressed blacks raised to believe that they were inferior beings to their white brothers and sisters!

The title is somewhat pretentious since it is referring only to Egypt. The other issue is that from pre-dynastic times there were in North Africa Caucasian peoples, not merely with the arrival of the Hyskos. The people in the video are clearly not specialists. Although Ancient Egyptian is an authentically African language, the Nubian language is different, being of the Nilo-Saharan family. The African origin of Egyptian civilisation is no longer in dispute and that is the principal message to be drawn from the video.
