US presidential debate: Trump launches ferocious attack on Clintons

The Republican nominee denied ever sexually assaulting women, but turned his fire on ex-President Bill Clinton in a bitter US presidential debate.

“There’s never been anybody in the history of politics that has been so abusive to women,” he said.

Hillary Clinton refused to address his comments about her husband.

Mr Trump’s attack on the Clintons came after moderator Anderson Cooper asked him about a 2005 video released on Friday that revealed Mr Trump bragging about groping women.

The 70-year-old billionaire dismissed the remarks as “just words” and “locker room talk”.  [Read more]

Some Tax Facts for Donald Trump from Warren Buffett

Answering a question last night [during the second presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton] about his $916 million loss carry-forward in 1995, Donald Trump stated that “Warren Buffet took a massive deduction.”

Mr. Trump says he knows more about taxes than any other human. He has not seen my income tax returns, but I am happy to give him the facts.

My 2015 return shows adjusted gross income of $11,563,931. My deductions totaled $5,477,694, of which allowable charitable deductions were $3,469,179.

All but $36,037 of the remainder was for state income taxes.

The total charitable contributions I made during the year were $2,858,057,970, of which more than $2.85 billion were not taken as deductions, and never will be.

Tax law properly limits charitable deductions.

My federal income tax for the year was $1,845,557. Returns for previous years are of similar nature in respect to contributions, deductions, and tax rates.

I have paid federal taxes every year since 1944, when I was 13. (Though, being a slow starter, I owed only $7 in tax that year.) I have copies of all 72 of my returns, and none uses a carry-forward.

Finally, I have been audited by the IRS multiple times, and am currently being audited. I have no problem releasing my tax information while under audit.

Neither would Mr. Trump — at least he would have no legal problem.

Trump’s New Scandal has Real Power with Media and Republicans because it’s about WHITE WOMEN ….

By Walter Einenkel – Daily Kos

Yamiche Alcindor over at The New York Times has written up an interesting analysis of why this latest Donald Trump scandal seems to have had considerably more staying power.

I mean, seriously, there have been scandals of how Donald Trump is a straight up fraud, an absolute cancer of a businessman, a racist, a homophobe, a misogynist, and Islamophobe.

It has been pretty apparent to anyone watching debates that he has no clue what he is talking about on most subjects. But something about the audio tape of Donald Trump boasting to Billy Bush on a tour bus about being gross with women has really hit a chord and broken through Trump’s seeming immunity with the national media and voters.

What’s the difference? Trump’s target here were white women — any and all white women.

Mr. Trump has been accused of belittling women before. He has battled the Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and publicly feuded with Rosie O’Donnell.

But in the recording released on Friday, Mr. Trump says he can have access to any woman’s body because of his fame and moments later is shown arm in arm with a white actress, Arianne Zucker. That seemed to resonate powerfully with Republican leaders, who perhaps could imagine Ms. Zucker as one of their own family members.

Many of the Republicans who withdrew their support from Mr. Trump or increased their criticism released statements citing their daughters, wives and mothers in explaining why the comments were so objectionable.

NB: I believe this is no different from the Vietnam era when the National Guard and Police in the USA started to brutalize and murder white people’s children at Kent State University and on the streets of the USA.

Donald Trump was doing alright when he was talking about Mexicans; Muslims; and non-white Immigrants and refugees, but there is a distinct line you do not cross when you get to white people’s children. -clyde
