Open Secret: Washington Is Behind India’s Brutal Demonetization Project

A Well-Kept Open Secret: Washington Is Behind India’s Brutal Demonetization Project

india-rupee-billsIn early November, without warning, the Indian government declared the two largest denomination bills invalid, abolishing over 80 percent of circulating cash by value. Amidst all the commotion and outrage this caused, nobody seems to have taken note of the decisive role that Washington played in this. That is surprising, as Washington’s role has been disguised only very superficially.

US-President Barack Obama has declared the strategic partnership with India a priority of his foreign policy. China needs to be reined in. In the context of this partnership, the US government’s development agency USAID has negotiated cooperation agreements with the Indian ministry of finance. One of these has the declared goal to push back the use of cash in favor of digital payments in India and globally.  [Read more]

This is the very heavy price foisted on India, esp the poor (under Hindu P.M. Modi) to be friends with the USA (under ‘decent’ Barack Obama). Up to now, India was out in the cold as the US coddled Pakistan and poured in billions $$$, most of it ending up in the armed forces with reputed links to terrorist groups to take on arch enemy India. Various US administrations, including Bill Clinton and had Hillary won it would have continued, were very anti-India (Is it any wonder that Hillary’s right-hand person was Huma Abedin, of Pak descent).

Even dear ole Biden whom Obama just conferred the “Freedom” medal on was highly anti-India and in early nineties amended a bill on aid to Russia to trip up India’s space program. Same Biden even quipped once that he couldn’t go into a 7-Eleven with seeing/her an Indian. It might surprise you that the ‘idol-worshipping, pagan’ Indians upset a lot staunch Christians in the US, including also staunch Methodist, Hilary, who walks around with her highly annotated Bible (per Carl Bernstein).

Here are excerpts from a recent SundayGuardian article dealing with the Bill Clinton, et al anti-India stance.

A Hillary Clinton win in the election would bring back the hostility of the 1990s towards India that existed under the presidency of Bill Clinton. India’s relationship with the US took a sudden downturn after Bill Clinton took office in 1993. For nearly a year, Clinton did not bother appointing an ambassador to India even as he went about opposing India on a number of fronts, leading to resentment in the Indian establishment. He first set about the task of disarming and weakening India by preventing access to technology and simultaneously mounted a sustained attack on the Indian economy by imposing several economic sanctions.
In 1991, Senator Joe Biden, who is now the Vice President under Barack Obama, introduced an amendment in the bill granting aid to Russia, making the aid conditional on the fact that Russia could not sell cryogenic engines for India’s space programme. The Clinton administration persisted in taking measures intended to retard the development of India’s space and technology sectors and blocked the sale of Cray supercomputers that had been approved under the Ronald Reagan administration. This was done even as the Clinton administration allowed the sale of these supercomputers to China. India was also targeted for several economic sanctions and was threatened under what was called the Super 301 clause of the American trade law.
The Clinton administration specially targeted the Indian textile and carpet industries for destruction. Throughout the 1990s, the terms “Dunkel Draft”, “Super 301”, “WTO” and “patent laws” became synonyms for the US attempting to destroy the Indian economy and led to many protests in India. In one famous episode, the Clinton administration declared Indian skirts to be flammable and banned them after an official ignited a skirt in front of television cameras.
On the security front too, the Clinton administration was consistently anti-India and pro-Pakistan. Members of the Clinton Cabinet supported terrorists in India, with Clinton’s Vice President Al Gore using the term “Khalistan” to describe Punjab. Bill Clinton’s close friend Robin Raphel was made the Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia, and under her, the US State Department pursued an agenda that supported violent anti-India groups in Jammu and Kashmir, while offering F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan. The State Department also propped up the Taliban regime in Afghanistan during this period.

India’s Man-Made Economic Calamity: How Many Will Die from Starvation, Malnutrition and Disease as a Result of Modi’s Demonetization?

At this point, every sane and responsible person in India should be asking: How many tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, or millions of people in India are going to die from hunger, starvation, malnutrition and disease as a result of Modi’s demonetisation?

Reports from the rural and semi-rural areas of India, from towns and villages, already indicate that hunger is widespread because of the nonexistence of cash.[1][2] This artificial crisis was created on November 8, 2016 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi arbitrarily declared 86% of the nation’s currency worthless as legal tender—a draconian diktat taken without any prior discussion with his cabinet, Parliament, or the people.

What is sad and clearly partisan, the Global Research writer, Walt Gelles, wholly ignores (assuming he read it, which he should have) the subject “Washington Is Behind India’s Brutal Demonetization Project” article and pins the blame squarely on ‘arrogant and autocratic’ prime mister, Modi. I note that the article falls under the theme “Crimes against Humanity” which is common attack on Hindu Modi and other Hindus for anything wrong, or so imagined, in India – whether against Muslims, Christians, minorities or women.

These people are so brain-washed by the prevailing mantra (begun by Islamist Muslim invaders/rulers and carried over in the 18th C. by the British & German scholars against “pagan” Hindus) that they fail to recognize (or don’t want to) the destructive policies of the promoters/followers of the Abrahamic religions whose sub-text “was/is to civilize the pagan Hindus” and so are out to convert the pagan Hindus. Thus pressure India to adopt a “brutal” policy so that the Hindu PM will be blamed.

While not on the topic of demonetization but is quite relevant to my comments on the Eurocentric/Western Abrahamic bias against Indian/Hindus, here is s letter I sent to the Toronto Star which I am 99.9% sure won’t be published as the Star is run by the said Eurocentric/Western Abrahamic cabal. The letter is addressing a deficit in an article written by an alumnus of the School of Oriental and African Studies.
    Text follows:

19th & 20th century scholars also wrote in a colonial context

Re. [Original article by Azzezah Kanji] Ignoring non-European thinkers leaves us half blind, Jan 12/17. Not only Enlightenment philosophers ‘wrote in a colonial context’ with some exhibiting racist views but also 19th and 20th century scholars. German-born philologist and Indologist, Max Muller (1823-1900), originated the term Aryan (Sanskrit Arya meaning noble person) – which German scholars adopted and twisted into a race of superior people, leading to Nazism.

He also developed the spurious Aryan Invasion Theory (AIT) – that a nomadic fair-skinned people from the Steppes invaded India c. 1500 BCE and drove the dark-skinned inhabitants south, thus immediately created a racial dichotomy of Indian people which prevails to this day. Muller worked in England (never visited India) for the East India Company/British Government of India. He was recruited by Lord Macaulay who infamously wrote in a Minute on Indian Education, 1835: “We must … form a class … between us and the millions whom we govern … Indian in blood and colour, but English in tastes, in opinions, in morals and in intellect”.

AIT is purely speculative. Neither hard (Archaeology/Anthropology) nor soft (textual, historical) evidence supports it. Whereas, the Rig Veda, the earliest mythical invading Aryans’s alleged composition in Sanskrit speaks of the Indian environment such as making numerous references to “Sapta Sindhu” – Seven Rivers of the Punjab region. Furthermore, DNA-based evidence points to an outflow of people from the subcontinent rather than any significant inflow in the last 4,000 years. Philologist and High Court Judge in Bengal, Wm. Jones, who first saw the affinity between Sanskrit and about twelve European languages, famously said in 1786: “The Sanscrit language, whatever be its antiquity, is of a wonderful structure; more perfect than the Greek, more copious than the Latin, and more exquisitely refined than either,…”. In all probability then, Jones’ opinion (hinting at mother-daughters affinity) supports the contention that the gene flow was was OUT of India NOT in, thus also trashing AIT (which is still unfortunately taught as fact).
