Queens resid­ents celeb­rate Phagwah

The warm friend­liness of partic­ipants at the Grand 29th Annual Phagwah Parade, melted the cold weather that blank­eted Richmond Hill, Queens last Sunday, March 12, as hundreds of Indo-Carib­bean natio­nals and citizens of all relig­ions and races, lined the streets, while others danced on colorful floats to celeb­rate the Hindu festival of Holi.

Fly Jamaica Airways adds 20 flight atten­dants

After launc­hing flights four years ago, Fly Jamaica Airways has once again upped its aviation crew with 20 newly trained flight atten­dants who will join the airline’s sched­uled twice-weekly flights from John F. Kennedy Interna­tional Airport (JFK) to Kingston and Georg­etown, as well as Canada.
