Firstly permit me to offer sincere condolences to the grieving parents and siblings of Leonard Archibald , the 13 year old who was subjected to sodomy until unconscious, only to be further dehumanized by having his body disposed of in the Berbice River in Guyana. As a parent I am still trying to rein my anger, as vivid images of retaliation, unworthy of being penned or verbally disclosed play havoc with my mental processes.   Continue reading

Walker is a sleep scientist. To be specific, he is the director of the Center for Human Sleep Science at the University of California, Berkeley, a research institute whose goal – possibly unachievable – is to understand everything about sleep’s impact on us, from birth to death, in sickness and health.

The announcement in Tehran on Saturday regarding the successful test of a ballistic missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers and capable of carrying multiple warheads to hit different targets phenomenally shifts the military balance in the Middle East.

Israel and the roughly 45,000 USA troops deployed to the Middle East – Jordan (1,500 troops), Iraq (5,200), Kuwait (15,000), Bahrain (7,000), Qatar (10,000), UAE (5,000), Oman (200) – fall within the range of the latest Iranian missile.
