This Book Fair and Literary was an excellent event! Very interesting and educational – great learning about the Indians their history and culture in Guyana. I’ve already completed one of the books I bought and I’m on the second. Great reading – fantastic authors all! And that film, so riveting and emotional. I have shared my experience being there with my Guyanese friends, specifically the Indian ones who are all now trying to get to the next screening of Echoes from the Plantation. Thank you Dr. Dhanpaul Narine for inviting me. You did a fantastic job!
Thanks Annette, it was great having you there. This was our first event and it went well. It was really wonderful to see so many persons turning up because of their love of books and the spoken word. The children were great too. There is definitely a role for the Literary Festival in our community.
