Dear LFU members and supporters,
The Eustace “Sammy” David Scholarship for Success program, so named to honor our beloved board member and friend, was launched in the 2018-2019 school year as part of LFU’s education mission, which seeks to promote the academic achievement of youths in Linden and Region 10.
The program supports a cohort of seven (7) students each year, beginning in Grade 7, for five years of their secondary school education. Each of these talented but financially challenged students will be provided with vouchers for books, supplemental subject-matter materials, and uniforms. This year, because of the pandemic and remote learning, LFU provided each student in the three cohorts with electronic tablets to ensure their continued access to learning.
Visit our webpage to see images of the current cohorts participating in our program:
Cohort 1 (2018–2019), Cohort 2 (2019–2020), and Cohort 3 (2020–2021).
In 2021, LFU will be picking up its fourth group of students, Cohort 4 (2021–2022) and is seeking individual, group or family donors who will commit to a contribution of $150 per year (or smaller amounts that can be bundled) to support one student or more for the school year.
You have an amazing opportunity to be a part of a program that allows wonderfully deserving students to focus on their academics without the added worry about books and uniforms. Consider joining with your family members to create a family scholarship fund that honors a beloved family member.
We hope you agree with us and see the value, necessity, and benefits of this program. If you’d like to discuss further, kindly reach out to us at lfu_secretary@lindenfund.org.

With your unwavering support over the years, Linden Fund USA (LFU) is blessed and thriving in its 22nd year as a charitable organization. LFU has remained steadfast in serving the residents of our beloved Linden and Region 10, especially through our timely feeding program for senior citizens and our impactful scholarship programs for students at all levels. The launch earlier this year of an economic development initiative for Linden and Region 10 has expanded our mission and added greater impetus to our efforts. Our YouTube Channel hosts several published videos from which you could learn more about this strategic and ambitious undertaking.
