There were tears-real tears- in my eyes as I watched and listened to the sounds and pictures of my heritage. Thank you very much for making it available to me. I have forwarded it to all five of my children who were all born in the USA.

I am from the 60’s and 70’s . Listening to The Merrymen & The Tradewinds bring back sacred memories of growing up in Guyana . I hope the young generation take the time out to check Out these memories which will never retutn .Turn to the older generation , listen to them and learn. Being a Guyanese is embedded from birth. You can’t adopt being a Guyanese and learn how to cook Hassa, Peppperpot, All in One ( Cookup ). You have to be born a Guyanese! But can still get close to being One ! Listen to John ” Slingshot ” Drepaul and treasure his Guyanese songs.
